Yesterday I realized that I’ve been living with a wrong view of time. At
some point I began to see myself as having very little time, and began to
ration it out sparingly. There are only two kinds of things that aren’t in
danger of being squeezed out of my schedule when I live with this view:
things that are of ultimate importance, and things that are ultimately
selfish. And since I can’t see the future and tend to undervalue the
difference I can make, even the first category gets squeezed.
May God teach us to measure our days aright.
